Work title: The folds of a-topia (0001001910)

Molding the rocks, moving the sea, wanderer in shadowy cities, wildest quarry, bound in wind and rain. no ancestors neither past nor future. Nonman. Nongod. footsteps in a crossroad, in the desert . What is morality? What is reality after all? Could it be an absurd collection of entities, objects and ideas constantly and actively reformed by its participants, or a complex rigid machine requesting to be accepted as a de facto status? If a single real reality is the case, it is inconceivable both because of its vastness as well as the impotence of the human mind to objectively interpret ‘it’. Cognition, formed by perception is essentially an arbitrary assemblage of fragments of reality one encounters; a constantly folded real, likely motivated by an unconscious biological force. Thus, a fundamental objective cognition of the real proves to be an implausibility. The exact object of reality itself does not exist and never existed as such. It is always becoming and never ‘is’; an ‘a posteriori’ fabrication orchestrated by the subjective mind. Is then Utopia an ideal habitat or is it an inept idea of collective morality rejecting the coexistence of ‘n’ subjectivities? Our narrative does not claim to be a utopian settlement deriving from hopes and desires but is rather expressed as an illusionary journey through a world {1} of unconscious images, neglected ideas and disregarded patterns. A Khôra-like space, consisting of an indefinite maternal nest, stripped of its moral interpretations, neither good nor evil but rather primordial and guiltless; a timeless land, receptacle of all that is and all that ever was. As one wanders in this space, he places himself at that infinitesimal interval in time, between the notion of the past and assumption of the future. In this void of collision, emerges what we visualize as the universal tool. The tool {2} provides itself as an unfolded a-topic potentiality. It is as simple as a prescribed piece of paper, able to readjust the correlations of its components; able to fold and refold, constructing new forms of subjectivity, meaning a series of schemata that could contain none or all. The notion of a gridded ground, an overlaid order that in a way induces the folding, is that of a common Origin; an archae affined to life itself. Through this disquieting journey of autopoiesis, perception bends its object to an intangible dimension; it rationalizes the uncanny to excuse its Being ‘there’. If the representation {1} is that of a real reality, one that no subjectivity can conceive as such, then each non-identical topological arrangement - fold - of the universal tool {2}, corresponds to a uniquely distorted image of the real {3}. What we might refer to as ‘world’, therefore consists of such ‘n’ imperfect figments of reality; a collection of folds, self-crafted looking glasses each claiming to signify the One real in the absence of the Real real. Life appears as the task of coexistence of ‘n’ Beings, carrying their own selves within their ever-changing topological assertions. The assemblage of folds {3}, what we might call collective, is inherently a body without organs, a set of intra-subjective flows, creating a vague field of immanent potential. Is our task then to reach a complete synthesis, or to articulate a different condition? To generate space propelled by piecing together different folds of the a-topia. Space for the abstract-man, through which cohabitation of singularities reveals the unrepresentable, the unimaginary, the unconscious, the unbuilt. Morality does not preexist man. It arises as a mutual agreement of compression of personal desire, in the cause of symbiosis. Any single static instance inside this intensive - constantly redefined according to its components- field of moral event, is condemned to consecutive raptures, cracks and breaks. As the different schemata of subjectivities combine, as they drift, overlap, blend, collide, there emerges an infinitely becoming plane; the essence of morality.
